The AIV Structure Australia Independent Vendors is a division of Bidvest Australia, Australia's largest Food Service Distributor. Bidvest branches are located in modern facilities at Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Hervey Bay, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Toowoomba, Gold Coast, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Wollongong, Sydney, Canberra, Albury, Tamworth, Armidale, Geelong, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Alice Springs, and Darwin. The largest of these warehouses are at Morningside in Brisbane and Knoxfield in Melbourne. Company History
In 1999 Australia Independent Vendors joined forces with Bidvest Australia, Australia's largest food service distributor. Bidvest Australia has access to over 30,000 product lines in their range. This has given AIV a strong backing, more products and a guarantee for a great future. Australia Independent Vendors, formally Queensland Independent Vendors commenced in Brisbane with one truck. In 1987, Roland West started distributing orange juice and smallgoods from the back of a truck and developed a philosophy which AIV still holds today - "An absolute commitment to customer service." We currently have over 45 trucks servicing Queensland & New South Wales. Our strong growth historically has come from Vendors developing their territory and at a later date, splitting their territory.

AIV Franchise Vendors are not just drivers!! A Franchise Vendor is also a Sales Representative, Public Relations Executive, Administration and a Business Operator. The success of AIV Franchise, from one truck to over 45 trucks in less than 10 years, has stemmed from a totally professional approach with a focus on "Absolute Commitment to Quality Customer Service." Add to this willingness by Franchise Vendors to actively grow their businesses and we can only have a recipe for success. With many vendors being with AIV for several years and having "split" their business when they have grown too big to handle, this is an assurance of rapid growth and financial reward.
Methodology
AIV Franchise businesses are predominantly (but not exclusively) a Husband and Wife team, which makes AIV uniquely different to other distribution companies. With AIV Franchise Vendors being owner operated and servicing other small businesses, a strong bond is formed which develops into a strong customer relationship, enabling the Franchise Vendor to grow their business with Relationship Marketing. AIV specialises in what is known as the third tier or Route trade distribution, servicing small drops which other larger companies cannot or do not want to do. Remember - "Lots of little profits make a big one" Predominantly AIV customers are serviced by van sales, that is an AIV Franchise Vendor calls to the customer's door with a van full of stock ready for the customer's needs.
